At 0900Hrs, Ben Vrackie was proudly sticking out above a lower cloud band. The temperature is precisely 1 degree higher than at this time yesterday.I have some optimism that today won't be as depressing as yesterday!
PITLOCHRY TODAY
A tricky forecast today in deciding just how much, if any, ssunshine there will be. It will be a dry day, certainly starting with a lot of low cloud. Already there has been some lifting of the cloud from the foggy conditions of 2 or 3 hours ago. Hopefully the lifting & thinning will continue, with some sunshine for a time this afternoon. It should be a little milder than yesterday, with highest value close to 10 degrees. Still high pressure & barometers should be reading about 1032/1033 mbs or 30.5 inches.
THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
It will become generally cloudy again & a little light & patchy rain or drizzle will spread down from the NW by late evening, clearing before morning. Once the cloud begins to break, the temperature will fall close to freezing.
OUTLOOK
The WEEKEND should be dry. Skies will be partly cloudy, but there should also be a little sunshine. Daytime temperatures should reach around 7 degrees, with a touch of frost overnight.
