THURSDAY 10th MARCH

HEADLINES @ 0845Hrs
Nasty out there just at this moment, with a rain shower & a force 6 WNW wind. At least, despite the heavy snow falling last evening, there is nothing lying this morning, except much higher up.There was quite a lot of rain during the latter part of the night (17.0mms in the gauge).  The 0845 shower was over by 0855 & the sun is out!

PITLOCHRY TODAY
Some sunny intervals, but also more cloudy spells with showers, probably containing some wet snow later on. Feeling cold with a blustery W wind & temperatures, at their highest, only reaching 6 degrees(about 2.5 below normal)

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Still the odd shower during this period, probably falling as snow, with light accumulations possible. Still on the breezy side, with lowest temperatures around freezing

OUTLOOK
FRIDAY will probably see fewer showers & more sunny spells. Any showers, however, could still contain some snow. Still breezy & still cold. THE WEEKEND will remain cold & Saturday could see a longer spell of sleet or snow, starting overnight & lasting into the morning. Sunday should see drier weather, with some sunshine, but also the odd wintry shower.
