SATURDAY 5th MARCH----EVENING

UPDATE @ 1600Hrs
Much of the day remained overcast, though the early morning drizzle died out. Cloud lifted somewhat during the afternoon, with a few glimpses of blue sky later. A look at the cloud satellite picture, showed that Northern Scotland fared better today for sunshine. By 1600Hrs, the temperature had reached 7 degrees & it could still nudge up a little more yet.
THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Light winds, together with breaks in the cloud, point to a widespread frost tonight. Minimum temperatures are likely to fall down to about -2.

OUTLOOK
After a cold start, SUNDAY should be a dry day with variable amounts of cloud & some sunshine. Maximum temperatures will reach around 6 or 7 degrees. THE START of NEXT WEEK, is likely to see the weather become generally less settled, with more in the way of wind & rain.
