Cloudy, windy & cold. There's already been a little sleet earlier on. At this site, it will be classed as a day with snow lying at 0900, as more than 50% of the ground (at a similar altitude) is covered, but by less than 1cm. Yesterday & overnight gave some deep snowfalls to higher ground. At 0600Hrs, Aviemore was reporting 29cms!! There must have been significant differences in the amount of snow received between 150 & 250 metres. (Much of Pitlochry is between 90 & 170ms)
PITLOCHRY TODAY
A mainly cloudy day. There will be some outbreaks of mainly light rain or sleet, but also some drier spells. Winds will be fresh from the NE & the maximum temperature will reach around 4 degrees, well below normal.
THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
This period will remain generally cloudy & some further light rain or sleet is likely at times. The minimum temperature will be close to 1 degree.
OUTLOOK
MONDAY---Any rain or sleet left at first, will die out to give a mostly dry & brighter afternoon. Still feeling cold.
TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY are likely to see some cloudy weather with rain at times, but should be somewhat milder.
THURSDAY should be drier & brighter, but a little colder.
