TUESDAY 22nd MARCH

HEADLINES @ 0845Hrs
Last night was the mildest night in March to date & in fact, the mildest night since 9th October. The thermometer did not fall below 9.1, warmer than the average minimum temperature in June!
On the blog below, you can see how day & night are distributed on the equinox.

PITLOCHRY TODAY
A mostly cloudy start, but during the day, there should be some breaks in the cloud, with some intervals of sunshine. Winds should be lighter than yesterday & it will be mild again, with maximum around 13 or 14 degrees.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Dry, partly cloudy, but some clear intervals. Not as mild as the last two nights, with minimum temperatures near 4 degrees, with perhaps a ground frost in flat, grassy areas.

OUTLOOK
The next 2 days should remain dry with variable amounts of cloud & some spells of sunshine. It will continue mild by day, though perhaps with a ground frost overnight. It will be turning rather colder from Friday.
