TUESDAY 8th MARCH----EVENING

UPDATE @ 1700Hrs
 After some showery outbreaks of slight rain this morning, more general, though mainly light rain settled in for the late morning until mid-afternoon. The total rainfall between 0900 & 1700 was only 1.2mms. (see posting below of 1030 rainfall map). Today's highest temperature was 8.0 & by 1700Hrs, it was feeling chilly at 4.9.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
A mixture of clear spells, but also some showers seem likely, which could be of sleet. (Ben Vrackie may get some snow settling). There will be a fresh W breeze & it will feel cold, with the minimum temperature near to zero.

OUTLOOK
 WEDNESDAY should see some bright spells, but possibly the odd shower of sleet too. It will cloud up later on & a more general area of rain or sleet will spread across the area. Higher areas around the town may see some snow accumulating. It will feel cold, with best temperatures around 5 or 6   THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS will continue unsettled, with a mixture of some dry spells with a little sunshine, but also some showers or longer spells of rain or sleet. It will stay on the cold side of average.
