WEDNESDAY 17th AUGUST

HEADLINES @ 0900Hrs
It has been the coldest night since June 11th & there was a slight ground frost. This is the result of a cool airstream + little cloud + little wind, so escape of heat.  Over the next few days, there should be a good deal of dry weather, but always the risk of a shower or two & no evidence of temperatures bettering average values.

PITLOCHRY TODAY
A dry, sunny but chilly start this morning. Much of the day should stay dry, but there is a shower risk, especially late afternoon/early evening. Not everywhere will catch a shower. It should be warmer than yesterday, with highest temperatures reaching a normal 18 or 19 degrees.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
After any evening showers, the period should be dry with clearing skies. As last night, temperatures will fall quickly, down to a low of 6 degrees or less.

OUTLOOK
THURSDAY----Will start bright & sunny after the clearance of any mist patches.  There is a risk of a more cloudy spell during the afternoon with some showers. A touch cooler than Wednesday.
FRIDAY----Following some overnight rain, there should be broken cloud with some sunshine & perhaps the odd shower around. A little warmer than Thursday.
