MONDAY 8th AUGUST----EVENING

HEADLINES @ 1815Hrs
A blustery day, with most of the sunshine this morning. There was more cloud during the afternoon, with some "nuisance value" showers on occasions from about 3pm. Highest temperatures only reached 16.7 degrees.Winds gusted to 27mph.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Any light showers remaining should soon die out to leave a dry night with some clear spells. Lowest temperatures about 8 degrees.

OUTLOOK
TUESDAY----Should be dry with broken cloud & some sunshine. It will be rather breezy, but less so than today. Still rather cool, with a maximum of about 16 degrees.
 WEDNESDAY---Cloud will increase overnight Tuesday, with rain starting before dawn on Wednesday. The day will stay mostly cloudy with rain at times, though the wettest places are expected to be further west.
