SATURDAY 8th JANUARY

HEADLINES @ 0900Hrs
About 2cms of the "soft, white & powdery"falling late evening & part of the night. Unfortunately, it has fallen on ice, so clearing the drive & paths of snow was easy, but what is left is still treacherous. Still, we escaped the worst of the snow by being on its NW fringe. The temperature rose with the snow (-7 when it started, but now just -0.4 ). The low min. temps in the table are from 0900 yesterday.

PILOCHRY TODAY
Broken cloud, with some sunny intervals developing. Less cold than yesterday, but nothing to write home about, maximum about 2 degrees. There could possibly be an odd snow shower about later in the day, but at present it looks as though they will affect areas to the south of Pitlochry.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
An odd snow shower just possible, but much of the time will be dry with clear periods & a frost, minimum around -2 to -4.

OUTLOOK
It still looks set for some milder, though unsettled conditions from mid-week.
