 Mainly cloudy. Mostly dry for much of the morning, but a spell of mostly light rain & drizzle for a time this afternoon. It should turn out milder than for some time, with maximum temperatures around 7 degrees.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Perhaps some of the afternoon rain spilling over for a time into this evening, but then turning dry, with cloud thinning & breaking. This will lead to a fall in temperatures, which are likely to end up close to freezing.
OUTLOOK
High pressure is likely to dominate the week's weather. Initially, the big high pressure system will pull back over the Atlantic, before re-establishing itself over Britain later in the week. So, overall, a quiet week of weather, with no extremes.Much of the time will be dry, with a mixture of cloudy spells & some intervals of sunshine.
