SATURDAY 8th JANUARY----EVENING

UPDATE @ 1800hrs
A pleasant day, with some good sunny spells, but still very much a wintry scene, with the snow & ice around & the thermometer held at a mere 1.1 today. Currently, the temperature is -2.0, so things are once more freezing up,with the gritters at work.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
There are actually a few snow showers around, but mainly on a track which will take them to the south of Pitlochry. But one never knows for certain (worth checking the radar http://www.raintoday.co.uk/.), as there is always just the chance of another 1 or 2 cms That risk apart, the night is likely to see some clear spells & minimum temperatures down to -4.

OUTLOOK
Still expecting some less cold weather from Tuesday/ Wednesday onwards, but the weather will also turn unsettled.
