HEADLINES @ 1700Hrs
Just about dry all day, though little in the way of sunshine.  Now it's starting to get milder, with the temperature still rising. The wind is also beginning to pick up & rain will soon move in from the SW. Stirlingshire & the far west of Perthshire are set to get more rain than Pitlochry, but some moderate outbreaks should commence shortly & last until the early hours.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
A cloudy, mild & increasingly windy spell with some rain soon reaching Pitlochry. Later in the night, the rain will clear & it will start to turn colder, as a cold front moves over the area. By dawn, temperatures will be down to 2 with a ground frost in places & still fairly windy

THURSDAY
A shower or two possible, with even a blob or two of sleet, but much of the day will be dry & bright with some sunny intervals. Rather cold, with highest temperature only 5.  Most places will have a frost overnight, perhaps down to -4, with long clear spells & very little wind.
