A surprisingly good day from late morning onwards, with generous amounts of sunshine. The maximum temperature reached 12.3, which is above the seasonal norm.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Dry for much of the period, with some well broken skies to start the evening. Later on, cloud will tend to increase & although remaining dry for the bulk of the time, there may just be the odd patch of slight rain or drizzle during the night. Temperatures should hold up at around 8.

FRIDAY
Probably more cloudy than today, but any rain is likely to be light & patchy & not amount to much. The maximum temperature should reach close to 10.

The weekend promises to be bright with some sunshine & little in the way of rain.
