Overcast, with occasional drizzle, maximum temperature 8.7.   BUT----all the following places were sunny at 1500Hrs today:----Altnaharra, Altbea, Aviemore, Skye, Stornoway & Prestwick (+ many others in Western Scotland )

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Staying mainly overcast with occasional drizzle. At least all the cloud should keep temperatures from falling too much, minimum around 6 or 7.  Places well to the west of us with clearer skies may see a touch of frost.

WEDNESDAY
Essentially cloudy, with an odd patch of drizzle, though some chance of rather brighter skies at times, than was the case on Sun.Mon & Tues. Highest temperature around 9.
