THURSDAY 17th NOVEMBER----EVENING

HEADLINES @ 1700Hrs
The rain raced in about 4 hrs earlier than expected, giving 2.5mms by 1700Hrs. Today's top temperature was 9.4 & the next day or two promise mild conditions too.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
The evening will continue wet, with spells of moderate rain. Overnight, the rain should become lighter & more occasional. It will remain mild, with minimum temperature around 9.  The breeze is likely to freshen from the south.

FRIDAY
Something of an east/west split, with areas further west having the lion's share of the rain, while places nearer the east coast see little rain & some dry bright weather.  Pitlochry may be cloudy early on with some occasional rain, but should become drier & brighter by afternoon. It should be very mild, if breezy, maximum temperature up to 13.
