HEADLINES @ 0830Hrs
Yesterday's maximum temperature occurred during the night, as a warm front went through, bringing all the rain. Rainfall has now just passed the seasonal norm (it was less than 50% as late as the 24th ).  We won't have been the wettest place overnight by any means---a bit furher west & south west will have caught a lot more.

PITLOCHRY TODAY
A mainly cloudy day with spells of rain. There may be the odd drier patch & the rain should ease off more generally by the end of the day. It will be breezy & although mild for most of the day, it will become colder later on, as a SE-moving cold front passes through. Maximum temperature (early on in the day ) 10 or 11.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Some clear spells & the odd shower (showers will be wintry above 250m ). Minimum temperature will fall to 0, with many places having a slight frost by dawn.

WEDNESDAY
Rather cloudy, with a few showers around (wintry on higher ground ). Feeling cold in fresh W. winds, with a maximum of 6.  Further rain likely during the evening & night.
