HEADLINES @ 1745 Hrs
After a misty start, most places soon saw blue skies, with only small amounts of cloud developing.  One or two spots appear to have kept the mist for rather longer, the Tay valley around Dunkeld being a case in point.  At this site, which saw all mist away by around 1030, the temperature eventually rose to 8.9 during this afternoon. It proved a great day for a walk & I took the route via Faskally Woods to Killikrankie.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Already turning nippy, with the thermometer on a steep dive, with largely clear skies & very light winds. All seems set for a minimum temperature of about -2 in some spots, with a widespread moderate ground frost. More mist & fog patches are also on the cards for many parts of the local area by dawn tomorrow.

SUNDAY
Frost & fog for many first thing.  Prone areas may find mist & frost lingering into the morning, but the majority of places should become largely sunny by 10 o'clock.  Despite the sunshine, temperatures may get pegged back at about 6 or 7 as a maximum.  More fog & frost for Monday morning.
