HEADLINES @ 0900Hrs
A large high pressure system still covers the U.K. & North Sea, keeping Atlantic fronts at bay.  Not quite as cold as expected last night, with rather more cloud about than predicted.   Probably all but the higher hills in mist & fog at present & there is rather more cloud around anyway. Hopefully, the sun should make an appearance within a couple of hours.  Unfortunately, a change to more low cloud & dampness, no frost/ fog or sunshine, is lined up for the next day or two.

PITLOCHRY TODAY
Mist, fog & frost should clear from most places by mid-morning. Like yesterday, some mist or fog patches may be reluctant to clear from parts of the Tay valley.  Again there should be some sunshine around, but perhaps a little more cloud at times than yesterday. Highest temperatures will vary from 2 or 3 in foggy areas, 5 to 7 across Pitlochry & about 9 in the sunniest spots.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Lowest temperatures are likely to occur early on ( down to 0--+2 ). Later, low cloud will spread from the S.E. bringing overcast conditions from the North Sea, but causing the temperature to rise somewhat.

TUESDAY
A different sort of day in prospect. It is likely to be damp & overcast, but less cold, as temperatures rise to about 9 or 10. Sunshine will be conspicuous by its absence. Light to moderate winds from the North Sea.
