HEADLINES @ 0900Hrs
Max.temp. 15 in Lossiemouth yesterday. Plenty of snow on the Grampians this morning. Last year at this time, we were sliding into a severe cold spell!!---Such is the wonderful world of the British weather!!!
PITLOCHRY TODAY
Several showers around at present, these are falling as snow over much of the higher ground. Later, the showers should become more scattered, with a few sunny spells. Feeling much colder than of late. not helped by a fresh wind.
THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Clear spells & quickly falling temperatures during the evening (minimum 1 or 2 ). During the night, another area of cloud & rain will spread over the area from the SW. Once again, areas to the west will receive higher rainfall totals. Winds & temperatures will increase with the rain.
WEEKEND
SATURDAY----The remains of the wet weather in the west may occasionally reach Pitlochry, but there should be some dry spells too, though rather cloudy & windy. On the positive side, it will be milder again, up to 11 or 12.
SUNDAY---Colder again & a breezy day with a few showers.
