HEADLINES @ 0900Hrs
An umbrella was needed to make the morning observations, but radar information tells me that the rain will shortly peter out.   The BBC will shortly be up-grading their online weather service, including for PH 16, but please note that this is based on observations taken at Strathallan,  an airfield some distance to the south.

PITLOCHRY TODAY
Some moderate or heavy rain for a time this morning, but the rain should become lighter soon after 0900H. Later, cloud should breah somewhat, perhaps with a few bright spells. During the latter part of the afternoon, the odd shower may break out. It should become very mild, up to 14. Winds moderate, mainly easterly.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
A mild night, with temperatures holding around 10  (Early November norm, nearer to 2 or 3 ).  There may be the odd shower & there is some risk of a spell of more general rain later in the night, moving north.

FRIDAY
Cloudy weather with some rain is likely early on, but it should become dry & brighter later, with temperatures still well-above November normal values at around 12 or 13.
