HEADLINES @ 1630Hrs
It's been very mild today, the maximum temperature reaching 13.8 (the highest of the month).  On this day 12 months ago, the thermometer only reached 2.0 with 5cms of snow lying!   The current weather charts show very disturbed weather, with lots of isobars meaning strong winds.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
The evening is expected to be wet & windy, some of the rain being heavy. Overnighf, as a cold front passes, the wind will veer to NW, still strong, but the rain will die out, leaving a night of clear spells with perhaps the odd shower.  It will become colder again, though with strong winds, the lowest temperature should remain at about 4.

SUNDAY
Apart from the risk of an odd shower, the day will be mostly dry & bright, though windy & feeling colder than today. The highest temperature, despite some sunshine, is likely to be pegged at about 7.
