HEADLINES @ 1800Hrs
Having advised this morning where it should be possible to find brighter conditions, I am now able to confirm one place, not too far away, where it was actually worse than Pitlochry, namely PERTH!.  The afternoon there, saw continuous light rain & drizzle, requiring normal wiper speed in the car.  At 1500hrs, it became rather too dark to read the newspaper while parked up at Tesco. On the way home, conditions improved & the ground in Pitlochry looked considerably drier, with only 0.1mm in the raingauge here. Radar evidence confirmed the higher amount of precipitation between Edinburgh & Perth. The highest temperature in Pitlochry today was 9.9.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Remaining cloudy with a few patches of drizzle. Winds from ESE (off the North Sea). Minimum temperature around 7.

TUESDAY
Essentially cloudy, though perhaps an enhanced chance of it's being a little brighter at times ( no cast iron guarantees! )
Wind still from ESE, highest temperature around 10.
