It's been quite a difficult week on many of Scotland's highest mountains:  periods of low cloud, frequent showers ( often of snow), temperatures never far from freezing ( or below), strong winds, but just occasionally, glimpses of brightness----in fact, the photograph, taken near the summit of Schiehallion, tells most of the story.
