A WARM WELCOME TO PITLOCHRY WEATHER!
THE ONLY ONLINE WEATHER SERVICE WHERE THE OBSERVER LIVES & RECORDS IN PITLOCHRY, USING PREVIOUS MET OFFICE CLIMATE STATION EXPERIENCE. FORECASTING IS BASED ON MET OFFICE & BBC MATERIAL, WHICH IS THEN TAILORED FOR THE PITLOCHRY AREA, USING LOCAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE.  While the south of England continues to see rain area after rain area, things are temporarily settling down over our part of Scotland in time for the weekend. The weather should remain mostly dry & quiet for us until late Sunday evening, when fronts from a very deep Icelandic low begin to invade from the SW. It will remain on the cold side by day, but the sun should be out at times & winds will stay light.
Overnight Saturday is likely to be calm, clear & frosty. From Sunday evening, both cloud & wind will start to increase & any frost disappear. Some rain will fall during the night & by dawn & into Monday, the thermometer may temporarily touch close to double figures,as a brief wedge of milder air passes through.  Beyond that, it seems set to become colder again & windy at times.
