A WARM WELCOME TO PITLOCHRY WEATHER!
THE ONLY ONLINE WEATHER SERVICE WHERE THE OBSERVER LIVES & RECORDS IN PITLOCHRY, USING PREVIOUS MET OFFICE CLIMATE STATION EXPERIENCE. FORECASTING IS BASED ON MET OFFICE & BBC MATERIAL, WHICH IS THEN TAILORED FOR THE PITLOCHRY AREA, USING LOCAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE.   A week in which pressure will always be low to the N & high to the S. This implies winds remaining in a W. quarter, with more in the way of rainfall in the W than the E. Tuesday & Thursday will be the brighter days, though there are likely to be a few showers penetrating from the W.  Wednesday should be more cloudy generally, with passing fronts giving some spells of rain.  Throughout, temperatures should be around 7 degrees by day, falling to 2 to 4 overnight. Any frost is likely to be only slight  & on the ground.  Winds will blow from between SW & NW in a range force 4 to 6, the latter more likely on Thursday.

Much of the morning is likely to remain overcast & misty with some rain at times, mostly light. As the afternoon goes on, it should become dry & brighter & temperatures may rise, temporarily, close to double figures. This is likely to be the calmest day of the week. Overnight may remain rather cloudy & misty, even with the odd shower, but any clear spells could result in a ground frost forming.
