Yesterday saw an incursion of tropical maritime air & temperatures were well into double figures. Unfortunately, these events are usually infrequent & often short-lived during our winters, with competing air masses always close at hand, in the form of polar maritime, arctic maritime & polar continental air streams.
So it's now back to the least severe of the competing air flows--polar maritime. FRIDAY will be cold & windy, with possibly a few showers as well as some sunny intervals.Maximum temperature 5 or 6. There may be a slight frost overnight.
THE WEEKEND should be mostly dry, with some sunny intervals as well as partly cloudy skies. Winds will be moderate from W to NW, with Sunday being the milder day(Saturday 5, Sunday 8) Overnight Fri/Sat may see a slight frost.
