A WARM WELCOME TO PITLOCHRY WEATHER!
THE ONLY ONLINE WEATHER SERVICE WHERE THE OBSERVER LIVES & RECORDS IN PITLOCHRY, USING PREVIOUS MET OFFICE CLIMATE STATION EXPERIENCE. FORECASTING IS BASED ON MET OFFICE & BBC MATERIAL, WHICH IS THEN TAILORED FOR THE PITLOCHRY AREA, USING LOCAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE.   Much of the weekend looks promising, though still rather cold with overnight frosts & valley mist .Both days should stay mainly dry, though partly cloudy, with some decrease in the wind strength, as a ridge of high pressure develops. Day time temperatures will be below average at 4 to 6, while both days begin with a frost & valley mist, with lowest temperatures between +1 & -1.  A big change will take place late on Sunday as a deep Icelandic low throws its fronts towards us. Temperatures will begin to rise & winds strengthen by late evening, with a wet night in prospect. Temperatures may approach double figures by Monday morning, but expect it to be windy.

TODAY'S FORECAST FOR PITLOCHRY
An improvement on yesterday, when showers very much dominated. Today will still see a few, ( more so this morning), but these should  be less frequent than on Thursday, with decent- length dry spells with some sunny intervals developing at times.  Winds staying in the SW, mainly moderate, occasionally fresh, with maximum temperatures up to about 6. A touch of frost is expected tonight under some clear spells.
