A WARM WELCOME TO PITLOCHRY WEATHER!
THE ONLY ONLINE WEATHER SERVICE WHERE THE OBSERVER LIVES & RECORDS IN PITLOCHRY, USING PREVIOUS MET OFFICE CLIMATE STATION EXPERIENCE. FORECASTING IS BASED ON MET OFFICE & BBC MATERIAL, WHICH IS THEN TAILORED FOR THE PITLOCHRY AREA, USING LOCAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE.     High pressure will dictate Scotland's weather for the next few days, with a theme of below average temperatures, light winds, cold days + frost & fog. There will also be some sunshine around (though sometimes obscured by mist & fog).  SATURDAY to MONDAY will be plagued by early morning mist & fog, while in prone spots, it may be reluctant to clear .Max. temps. will struggle to better 2 or 3, though only slight overnight frosts are expected as patches of cloud prevent larger falls in temperature. Winds should always be light, mainly blowing from W to NW.

A very frosty start (see figure in table below). The thermometer will probably take till lunchtime to briefly exceed 0. After a good deal of sunshine during the morning, there are likely to be some patches of cloud thereafter. Later in the night, mist & fog areas are likely to form.  ( Ben Vrackie & other high hill tops, look brilliant at present with their snow cover reflecting the early morning sun.)
