LOCAL AREA OUTLOOK----WED. 18th to SAT. 21st JULY
After a couple of good days to start the week, things look set to go downhill on Wednesday, as a slow-moving warm front takes up residence over Southern Scotland. At present, it looks likely that the heaviest rain may occur to the south of our area, but still leaving us with a cloudy, rather wet day. Things should pick up again during the following 3 days, though it will sometimes be rather cloudy, with a mixture of some sunny intervals & a few showers. It will be cooler than earlier in the week, with daytime temperature 2 or 3 degrees below the mid-July norm.
