Following a nippy night, today will be the best of the week, with good spells of sunshine, especially this morning. Later in the afternoon, there will be an increase of cloud at high & medium heights & the sunshine will eventually turn watery. Rain is expected to follow by late evening, when the wind will also increase from the E. or SE. Temperatures should reach 19 in the sunshine & it will feel pleasant. Pressure charts look somewhat unsettled for the start of August, with Wednesday likely to be the worst day of the period--overcast with spells of rain. Thursday should see an improvement, though some showers seem likely & this sets the theme for Friday & Saturday which will both be showery days, especially from late morning through to evening, with some heavy ones mixed in, though with considerable variations within short distances as to amounts of rain. Winds will be light to moderate from the SE, with daytime temperatures a couple of degrees below the early August average.
