LOCAL AREA OUTLOOK----TUES. 3rd to FRI. 6th JULY
The remainder of the week continues in unsettled vein, as low pressure over the Atlantic transfers to Southern England. Each day will see either some spells of rain or some periods of showery weather. Early in the week, much of the rainfall should be on the light side, but later on, the potential exists for a few heavier showers. Sunshine will be in rather short supply, though most days should see a few hours of dry weather.Temperatures by day will be a degree or two below the month's normal of 19 degrees, with the night's lows in double figures. Winds will be generally around force 2 to 4 from S.E.
Monday is expected to be mainly cloudy, with some occasional light rain this morning. Prospects for this afternoon are a little better, as it should become mainly dry, with some lifting of the cloud & possibly just the odd break or two, though amounts of sunshine are likely to be minimal. Highest temperatures should reach about 15 or 16, this being around 3 degrees below the July normal. Winds will be from E. force 2 or 3. Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with further spells of mainly light rain, though temperatures should stay well up.
