Mainly cloudy, with showers at times.A few dry slots, even the odd sunny interval. Max. temp. near normal about or 4 or 5 .Winds mostly SW2. Fewer showers after dark, with  temp. falling towards freezing. (For snowballing, sledging etc. etc.---make for the hills!!)

BOXING DAY--Probably the best day of the week, for although rather cloudy, there should be fewer showers around. Perhaps temperatures down a degree or two. Winds light S or SW.
Winds likely to back to the SE after dark & freshen somewhat ahead of the next approaching depression.

FRIDAY--Cloudy & windy, with rain at times, with yet another deep low not far away.
