A WARM WELCOME TO PITLOCHRY WEATHER!
THE ONLY ONLINE WEATHER SERVICE WHERE THE OBSERVER LIVES & RECORDS IN PITLOCHRY, USING PREVIOUS MET OFFICE CLIMATE STATION EXPERIENCE. FORECASTING IS BASED ON MET OFFICE & BBC MATERIAL, WHICH IS THEN TAILORED FOR THE PITLOCHRY AREA, USING LOCAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE.   The week starts with a hint of tropical maritime air, but ends with a decisive blast of arctic maritime (though this only temporary). Yesterday was both sunnier & milder than expected. Leuchars topped  11.3 degrees.  TUESDAY threatens to be the dullest day of the week & though still on the mild side, some occasional, mainly light spells of rain are to be expected.Winds in a W quadrant, mainly around force 2, with temperatures up to 7 or 8.The rain should mainly dry out after dark, with perhaps a slight frost by dawn.
WEDNESDAY should be back to drier & brighter conditions, though feeling colder after the passage of Tuesday's cold front. The W.wind, up to force 5 at times, will help to accentuate the chill. THURSDAY is likely to start with some rain, with temperatures at their highest & set to fall during the day. Winds may blow at force 6 at times.
