PITLOCHRY TODAY
Mainly cloudy this morning, with some occasional rain around, though more so further west. Prospects are promising for a dry, bright spell this afternoon. Winds will be moderate from between SE. & SW & temperatures should again hover around 11 degrees.  After dark, there may be some further occasional rain & it will become colder as the night wears on, with perhaps a touch of ground frost locally by dawn.

FURTHER OUTLOOK--Becoming more disturbed, as deep depressions pass close to Western Scotland heading north. Winds will increase at times becoming force 6 or more on occasions, with a drop in temperatures by day to more normal values & even below by Monday.  Slight frosts are a risk each early morning from Saturday onwards & may well occur in the clearing skies following overnight rain, leading to some icy stretches. Rainfall amounts are expected to become higher than of late, (N.B. only around  35% of the normal has fallen to date.). Sunshine is likely to be in limited supply, perhaps Sunday morning & Monday being the most likely times.

So, all in all---enjoy the mildness while it lasts & expect some colder & unsettled conditions ahead, though at present, there appears little prospect of a pre-Christmas " freeze-up".
