PITLOCHRY TODAY
Showers of sleet or snow at first (Drumochter Summit has significant snow/ nothing around Perth & Dundee). Locally, insignificant amounts below 150ms, much more above 300ms---we are very much on the rain/snow divide). Probably a dry spell later in the morning, before the return of the showers later, of a similar sleety mix, though perhaps more of snow during the evening. Some frost before dawn. Feeling cold (best temperatures no better than 3) & a fresh SW breeze, force 3 or 4 later.
FURTHER OUTLOOK (23/24/25)
MONDAY--Probably a little snow lying + a slight frost. Dry for a while, but later some snow arriving, turning to sleet & later to rain, before becoming more occasional overnight. A little less cold, though probably feeling colder than the max. of 4, with a freshening wind from the E or SE
CHRISTMAS EVE--Cloudy with occasional rain & very windy (up to force 6 or more on occasions). Feeling cold, with temps. not much better than 2 or 3.
CHRISTMAS DAY--Winds lighter & mostly dry & bright at times. Max. temp. about 3 or 4.
BOXING DAY---Further rain & freshening winds return again later.
