A complex area of low pressure will be close to the north of Scotland throughout.
WEDNESDAY---Mainly cloudy. Some rain at times, mostly during the morning, with longer dry spells during the afternoon. Highest temperatures about 7.
THURSDAY---Cloudy skies, with some rain possible in the morning. Best temp.7
FRIDAY & SATURDAY---Should see some dry, bright weather, though showers are a possibility, with low pressure still dominating the scene. Remaining on the cold side at  around 6.

Throughout, night-time temperatures will fall close to zero, with ground minima in negative territory. Winds will generally be in a range  force 2 to 4, with some variability in direction, as a result of a nearby low pressure system.
