LOCAL AREA OUTLOOK----MONDAY to THURSDAY
Pressure will remain high over this period, though by Thursday, the high will have pulled back to leave us in a cold N to NE wind.
MONDAY should be dry, though again, mist & fog will affect many places at first. When this disperses, there should be a few sunny intervals, light & variable winds & temperatures up to 11.
TUESDAY to THURSDAY are likely to be short on sunshine, with overcast conditions at times, perhaps with some drizzle. Winds will be light, with daytime temperatures in the 10 to 11 range & nights escaping frost. Later on Thursday, winds will increase from the N or NE, bringing colder conditions with an overnight frost.
Quite a lot of mist & fog around initially & some of this, especially in the valley bottom, may be slow to clear. Above the fog, largely clear skies are to be found. So a dry day lies ahead with well- broken cloud & spells of sunshine. Winds will be light & highest temperatures should reach 11 or 12 in those spots where fog clears quickly. TONIGHT, mist & fog are again likely to form, with lowest temperatures not far off freezing by dawn, with most places having a touch of ground frost.
