Pressure is currently high to the north of Britain. As the week advances, high pressure will be established near Iceland, allowing an Arctic air stream to flow over the country.
WEDNESDAY is likely to be mostly cloudy, though with the chance of afternoon sunny intervals. Winds will remain light, with highest temperatures up to 10.
THURSDAY is likely to see a belt of rain later, brought by a cold front.
FRIDAY & SATURDAY will be much colder, with rather stronger N or NW winds, giving a wind chill. Best temperatures on these days may be as low as 4, together with overnight frosts. SO UNFORTUNATELY---TURN UP THE THERMOSTATS!!
