TUESDAY 12th JULY

HEADLINES @ 0830Hrs
With 23.8 mms of rain in the past 24 hrs, Pitlochry is likely to have been one of the wettest places in the U.K.  The showers were so slow moving & many seemed to cluster around our area.  Pressure has been rising for 5 days now. yet it hasn't translated into significantly- improving weather. After all the rain, the lawns need cutting, but this morning, the grass is still soaking wet. I am putting my hopes on Wednesday & Thursday for that & a few more gardening jobs!

PITLOCHRY TODAY
Starting cloudy, but currently no significant rain anywhere acoss the mainland of Great Britain. Overall, there will be rather cloudy skies today, with sunshine at a premium, but the risk of showers is much lower than on recent days, though can't totally be ruled out altogether, particularly during the afternoon. Temperatures will still struggle to get to normal values, probably topping at about 18 degrees.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Much of the time should be dry, with perhaps a little sunshine during the evening & some breaks in the cloud overnight. Lowest temperatures around 9 degrees.

OUTLOOK
WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY & EARLY FRIDAY are likely to be the best parts of the week, with more in the way of sunshine & somewhat higher temperatures. Things are looking more unsettled thereafter.
