SATURDAY 9th JULY

HEADLINES @ 0900Hrs
Low pressure still dominates the scene, with many parts experiencing heavy showers, while others largely miss them. Edinburgh was clobbered by heavy downpours for a time yesterday.Pitlochry was very lucky.

PITLOCHRY TODAY
Generally rather cloudy today. There are no significant showers in our area at present, ( though there are a few light ones)-- but some are expected to develop, especially this afternoon. As in recent days, some spots may largely escape, while others near-by receive significant amounts of rain in a short time.(Why not check raintoday in favourite links, which will show just where showers are & their direction of movement---but remember, that some showers can develop in situ, whilst others may die away). In any sunny intervals, it should feel quite warm, though temperatures are likely to reach only between 18 &19 degrees.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Becoming mainly dry, with sunny intervals/clear spells & lowest temperature around 9 degrees.

OUTLOOK
SUNDAY--A few showers around, especially during the afternoon. Feeling quite warm in the sunny spells.
EARLY NEXT WEEK--The low pressure responsible for the unsettled spell will begin to move away to the NE & the weather should start to dry out, with more sunshine, though temperatures will be on the low side of average.
