FRIDAY 8th JULY----EVENING

UPDATE @ 1715Hrs
Big differences across Scotland today, with some areas getting a good hammering with heavy showers eg Edinburgh & others, including Pitlochry, staying dry, with some sunshine & a max. temp. of 19.1.  This is so often what happens in"showery weather"

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Probably staying dry this evening, though a sheet of high cloud has encroached during the afternoon, making the sunshine rather watery. There is a risk of some showery activity later in the night, though areas to the east of us are more vulnerable. Minimum temperature around 10 degrees.
OUTLOOK
SATURDAY ---There is a possibility that the day could start cloudy & showery, though there is some doubt about this. Much of the afternoon should be dry with broken cloud & some sunny spells, these lasting into the evening. Temperatures perhaps a degree or so down on today's.
SUNDAY may well stay mainly dry, with broken cloud & some sunshine & temperatures up to about 18 degrees
