Following a nippy start to last evening, the night became mainly cloudy & mild.

Pressure is high over Brittany, with a couple of "lows" starting to develop in mid-Atlantic. Britain is left in a mild SW airflow, with fronts affecting mostly Northern Scotland.

TUESDAY
Mainly cloudy, though dry. Possibly a few brighter intervals. Winds mostly W or SW force 3 to 5. Maximum temperatures around 8 or 9, which is around 3 degrees above average.
Dry at first this evening, but a short spell of rain during the night, followed bt some clearing skies. Lowest temperature around 3 or 4.

WEDNESDAY
A bright dry morning, but thickening cloud will bring some rain late in the day & SW winds will freshen. Highest temperatures around 7.
                                          Turning colder later in the week, with overnight frosts.
