High pressure covers the British Isles, giving quiet conditions everywhere. It will generally be rather cold, with varying amounts of sunshine, but most places will have overnight frost. There will also be some mist & fog in places.

FRIDAY IN PITLOCHRY
A dry day with light winds & some sunshine at times. There may also be spells with areas of high/medium level cloud around. There will be a touch of frost at first & temperatures are only likely to rise 2 or 3 degrees during the day.
Overnight, patchy cloud is expected, with a slight frost. Some valley mist patches are probable.

WEEKEND PROSPECTS in PITLOCHRY
Looking good.  Dry throughout, with a mixture of some sunshine & patches of mainly high cloud. Valley bottom sites may experience some mist or fog patches. Winds will be light.  Daytime maximum temperatures will be within the range of 2 to 4 degrees. Overnight, there will be mostly slight frosts, as cloud patches are likely to prevent the thermometer falling too much.
