An example of conditions that faced many of us this morning, especially on minor roads (some not so minor!)
as well as most pavements. Dealing with ice-covered vehicles was also problematic, as one needed more than just a hand brush.
It's always a problem when evening snowfalls, are followed by some temporary freezing,  & then by freezing rain late in the night & first thing in the morning;--- yet, ironically, for much of the night, temperatures were actually above freezing!
At 1330hrs, the thermometer was reading 5.0 degrees, the highest so far this month, but, of course, the fresh NW breeze is making it feel colder than that.
