A WARM WELCOME TO PITLOCHRY WEATHER!

Warm for October in many places yesterday. Strathallan reached 18.7, while Aboyne managed 19.3.

Still some low cloud patches on the hills & mist in places in the valley, but generally, cloud has broken well in the past hour or two. A dry day is expected, with some sunny intervals, though on occasions, there may well be a fair amount of cloud around. Winds will be force 2 from the S or SW, while maximum temperatures should reach 15 or 16. There may be a band of light rain affecting the area later in the night, as a weak front moves through from the NW.

LOCAL AREA OUTLOOK

SUNDAY----Perhaps a rather cloudy start, but a dry, bright day is expected with some sunshine at times. Winds will blow from the SW force 3 & best temperatures should reach around 16 or 17--rather warm for this time of year.

MONDAY---Some uncertainty just how much rain will carry through from the west, but the day is likely to be mainly cloudy with some occasional light rain. Still rather mild with a force 3 to 4 S to SW wind.
