The large high over Scandinavia is giving us a run of SE winds---not always the best direction for Pitlochry but often good for NW Scotland. However, fronts are working hard out west, to advance with their rain & push the high further away. SEE SEPTEMBER SUMMARY BELOW

LOCAL AREA OUTLOOK
WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY----Both days will be in a sort of "battleground" between high pressure to the east & Atlantic fronts trying to advance from the west. So it's likely to be mostly cloudy, with still those fresh SE winds & best temperatures around 14. The uncertainty concerns amounts of rain; previous indications were for quite significant amounts, but latest thoughts are more for patchy light rain on Wednesday, with rather more in the way of spells of moderate rain at times on Thursday. (Stay tuned for later clarification)
