A WARM WELCOME TO PITLOCHRY WEATHER!
THE ONLY ONLINE WEATHER SERVICE WHERE THE OBSERVER LIVES & RECORDS IN PITLOCHRY, USING PREVIOUS MET OFFICE CLIMATE STATION EXPERIENCE. FORECASTING IS BASED ON MET OFFICE & BBC MATERIAL, WHICH IS THEN TAILORED FOR THE PITLOCHRY AREA, USING LOCAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE.
Atlantic fronts are slowly pushing NE-wards, bringing bands of rain ever nearer Winds remain fresh from the SE.     Yesterday, with good mountain shelter from the SE winds, Aviemore, less than 60 miles up the A9, enjoyed almost 9 hrs of sunshine, conspicuous by its absence here.
TODAY'S FORECAST FOR PITLOCHRY
A dry start, though cloud has already filled in  & there are patches of mainly light rain around. More general rain spreading from the SW  later & persisting on & off for much of the afternoon, evening, night & through Thursday. Some of this rain will be heavy on occasions. Winds (you've guessed it ! ) fresh from the SE. Temperatures up to 13 or 14.
