It may dry up a little around lunchtime & into the afternoon, but further rain is expected late afternoon & early evening. This rain has the potential to be heavy & thundery, though current thinking is that the heaviest may affect areas further east. Highest temperatures should reach around 15 to 17. It will be mainly cloudy & mild tonight, with any rain dying out.

LOCAL AREA OUTLOOK----FRI 29th JUNE to MON.2nd JULY
Low pressure to the west of Ireland will move across Scotland into Scandinavia, giving generally unsettled conditions. Friday will be unsettled with rain at times & little in the way of sunshine. Further occasional rain is likely, especially on Saturday, with a better chance of dry conditions & a few sunny intervals on Sunday. A new low pressure system seems set to continue the unsettled theme into next week. Daytime temperatures are likely to be pegged in the range 15 to 17 throughout.
