The expected rain has been slow to arrive & it looks as though the worst of it will fall further east. Nevertheless, it is likely to be a mostly cloudy day, with occasional rain, mostly fairly light. Winds will blow from the E. mainly around force 3. Highest temperatures will reach a below-average 12 or 13 degrees TONIGHT should become mostly dry with a few cloud breaks & lowest temperatures around 8 or 9 degrees.

LOCAL AREA OUTLOOK----THURS 7th to SUN 10th JUNE
Over the period, 2 low pressure centres will track from the S.W. Approaches to the North Sea, with resulting unsettled conditions. Each day will see an emphasis on largely cloudy skies, with only brief spells of sunshine, Thursday night & a.m. Friday are likely to be particularly wet, with the strongest winds. The weekend should see sunshine & showers, with partly cloudy skies. Daytime temperatures will be in a range 14 to 16 (rather below average), but it will temporarily feel warm in any significant sunshine. No frost is expected.Winds will have an E. component until Sunday, when there'll be a change to W.
