A WARM WELCOME TO PITLOCHRY WEATHER!
THE ONLY ONLINE WEATHER SERVICE WHERE THE OBSERVER LIVES & RECORDS IN PITLOCHRY, USING PREVIOUS MET OFFICE CLIMATE STATION EXPERIENCE. FORECASTING IS BASED ON MET OFFICE & BBC MATERIAL, WHICH IS THEN TAILORED FOR THE PITLOCHRY AREA, USING LOCAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE.
Just to emphasise the E/W split yesterday.  LEUCHARS--Max 16.5, 3hrs sunshine. TYNDRUM--49.4mms rainfall (more than double our September total to date!)
TODAY'S FORECAST FOR PITLOCHRY
Dry for most of the day, with showers tending to disintegrate before reaching us from the W. Nevertheless, an odd one could make it through (A slight one has at 0830).  Partly cloudy, though also some brighter spells with sunny intervals, particularly p.m. Winds picking up to become mostly around force 4 from the W.& feeling cold out of any sunshine.  OVERNIGHT, mainly dry, clear spells, with min. temp. in low single figures, with a ground frost possible in the most prone spots.

LOCAL AREA OUTLOOK

TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY---A fair amount of dry weather, with cloud amounts variable & allowing some sunny spells on occasions. Still feeling rather cold, as winds continue to blow from between W & NW force 4 or 5.  Maximum temperatures only reaching around 12 or 13, with overnight lows well down in single figures. Vulnerable spots may get a ground frost.
